In December 2020, the Awotwe Foundation undertook a dedicated visit to the Sickle Cell Ward at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, Ghana. The team, comprising medical professionals and volunteers, engaged directly with patients and their families, providing essential support, medical guidance, and compassionate care within the clinical setting. Their presence underscored a commitment to enhancing the well-being of individuals managing sickle cell disease, fostering a collaborative environment of encouragement and practical assistance alongside the local healthcare staff.
