In December 2020, the Awotwe Foundation convened a dedicated team of volunteers and advocates at Warrior’s Park in Kumasi, Ghana, to advance its mission of supporting the sickle cell community. This initiative brought together local families and health champions for a day of outreach, education, and resource distribution, exemplified by the provision of essential school supplies to children. Through coordinated engagement, the foundation successfully fostered a spirit of camaraderie, raised vital awareness, and reinforced its commitment to empowering individuals affected by sickle cell disease.
